1. Connect to the Wave Rider service.
2. Start up the Anarchie software which, if you haven't already created a shortcut, should reside in the ISKM3 Group - Anarchie 1.5 folder. Use a File | Open to start it up.
3. If when you start the software up you get a Bookmarks form on screen, simply close this down.
4. Go to the FTP main menu and select the Get option.
5. A form will now appear that requires you to specify certain parameters in order to successfully log onto your own area of our web server.
6. In the box labelled 'Machine' enter - ftp.waverider.co.uk - please use lower case only.
7. In the box labelled 'Username' enter your username as per the letter that came with your start up pack in lower case only.
8. In the box labelled 'Password' enter your password as per the letter that came with your start up pack, ensuring that the first letter of the password is in upper case and the remainder of the password is in lower case.
9. At the base of the form on the left hand side there are a group of check boxes, ensure that the check box labelled 'Get Listing' is selected (has a black dot next to it).
10. Press the button entitled 'List'.
11. The software will now attempt to connect to your area of our web server. If it shows that access has been denied you should close down the window and check that you have entered all the deatils correctly. Once you gain access a list of directories will appear in a window one of which is called public_html. Double-click this entry to view its contents.
12. If this is your first upload of your own web pages the directory public_html will only contain one file - index.htm.
13. Go to the 'FTP' main menu and select the 'Put' option.
14. This will display a window that allows you to locate the directory and files on YOUR MACHINE that go to make up your new web pages. Find the directory where your HTML and gif/jpeg files live.
15. This window does not allow for multiple selections therefore you will have to select each file individually and move it across to the public_html directory on our web server. To do this simply highlight one of the files and press the 'Open' button. Your file will automatically be transferred across. Continue to select and transfer your file across until they have all been copied to the public_html directory.
16. The first page you wish people to see on your site must be named index.htm if it is not already called this you will need to rename the file.
17. Select the first page HTML file from within public_html.
18. Go to the 'FTP' main menu and select the 'Rename' option. In the box that appears type in the name index.htm and then press the 'Rename' button. If the file index.htm already exists you will be asked if you want to overwrite it - OK this.
19. Your pages are now live on the Internet.
20. Close down each of the windows for Anarchie to exit.
